I happen to be burning another one of my remaining days of vacation today with not much on the agenda for the day. That was until a knock at my front door revealed a Fedex driver delivering packages. One package came as a total surprise and the other was a stocking stuffer for my daughter. The surprise package gave my day a little more direction.

For you see a longtime blog reader and fellow collector had sent me another box of cards. It was a pretty sweet box with cards for sets I am working on along with player and themed collections. Thanks Dennis, you are an All Star Collector in my book.

I sat and went through all of the cards and grouped them together where they belonged. I decided to make several posts about the cards and I am starting with one of my favorite collections I am working on, The Topps All Star Rookie Trophy Cards. The cards first appeared in the 1960 issue of Topps Baseball. The cards have featured a trophy every year except for 1974 and 1979 thru 1986.

The nine cards Dennis sent me included two from the 1976 issue that I had in my 1976 Topps set but now I have them to display in my binder for the Topps All Star Rookies. The other seven cards were also needed to fill empty slots in my pages.
