2006 Bowman Heritage Baseball
I finally opened the box of 2006 Bowman Heritage Baseball I got last week. This Heritage release is based on the 1949 Bowman issue. This was a Hobby Box I purchased from Blowoutcards.com for $39.95. There are 24 packs in the box with 8 cards per pack. Also included is a box loader pack with 5 mini variations of the 100 card set of prospects and draft picks.
I managed three really great pulls from this box. Each Hobby box contains two relic cards and one autographed card. The first of the three big pulls I came across is a Craig Biggio Game Worn Jersey card. A nice white swatch with a little bit of the pinstripe showing in the lower left corner. Biggio has always been one of my favorites and now he is closing in on 3,000 hits. The second relic card I pulled was an Albert Pujols Game Used Bat card. Albert is one of the great hitters in the game. The third big pull was the best one. With five packs left to open I pulled out an autographed Alex Gordon card.
The only disappointing thing about this box was that I did not get a single Roger Clemens card. I got a Koby Clemens Prospect card but I am not collecting Koby so this card will go up on Sportlots. The only cards I will be keeping from this box are the Biggio Jersey, Ivan Rodriguez Mini and the Ian Kinsler Rookie.
I’ll take the money I earn selling the rest of the cards and I’ll buy another box of something else. The Alex Gordon Autograph has been selling pretty well for just over $40. The Pujols bat card has been ranging from $5 to $10. I may list a few of the Rookies and Short Prints on Ebay and the rest will go on Sportlots.
