The Analysis:

This was the first box of basketball cards I had bought in a very long time. Since I am not a big fan of the game it was not a box I was very excited about. However, I did pull a LeBron James jersey card. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the photography of the cards. If you are a basketball fan I would encourage you to get a box of these cards. There are not a lot of inserts per box but the cards are really sharp.

The base cards have amazing photography with many cards presented in a landscape format. It seems that many of those show the players going to the basket. These photos are really great. There are some interesting expressions on many of their faces. The only problem I have with the fronts are that the player names are in silver foil. I prefer for the names to stand out more and be easily readable.

On the backs you will find a headshot photo in the top left corner along with the usual bio line about height, weight and birthday. This area of the card has a background color that matches the team colors. Below that you have a complete NBA career stat line by year and totals. Under the stats is a short note about the player.

Overall, I really liked the cards. There are only two things I would really have liked to have seen done differently. One is to make the name stand out instead of that silver foil. The second I would have liked a numbered parallel set inserted two cards per box.
