Pudge and The Dream Have a New Home

Several days ago I received an email from a collector named Dennis, that had some Ivan Rodriguez cards he thought I might like. He had some I needed and said that he would send them to me right away. Plus, he said he would have some extras in there I might like as well. He was right.
He sent me the Rodriguez cards he mention and added a couple of more. That was just the beginning. Dennis must be a regular reader of my blog based on the player selection he included as a surprise. First off there were a couple of Ian Kinsler inserts, followed by five Hakeem Olajuwon cards. I didn’t have either one of the Kinslers and three of the Olajuwons were new for me. Next up was a Michael Young card followed up by a Bruce Matthews Hall of Fame card.
Four of the cards had Pudge in his gear which I like a lot and one had a great shot of him batting. Rodriguez has a very distinctive batting stance and follow through. Man I miss getting to see him play all the time. One of the things I would like to have the chance to do is to take infield with Pudge. It would be a blast to run situations like my high school baseball coach had us do in practice.
Anyway, back to reality. Thanks for the great cards Dennis. I am still putting your package together, I know what I want to send you I just have to find them. I’ll finish it up this weekend and get it sent out on Monday.

Cool! I’ve got more to dig up for you but it might take me a little while. You should see the rest of the set that the Olajuwon on the bottom right is from, it’s pretty cool. If there are any other players you are looking for, let me know…I’m trying to clean up my collection…meaning my wife wants me to get rid of some stuff…lol.

Thanks again Dennis. Is your wife going to give you that look when that bubble envelope shows up with more cards in it?

That’s funny. No, not gonna get a look because if they are on my list, they are gonna go right in a book and not sit around on the computer desk or in a pile somewhere else. But I do have a lot of cards that I want to get rid of…90′s stuff mostly…go figure…lol

I get into trouble with all the cards I leave stacked here and there. I have about eight stacks right now on the dining room table that I have to get into boxes.
Good thing were normally eat in the living room.
