Today I received an email from Etopps announcing a special eleven card set celebrating the biggest individual milestones of the 2007 baseball season. There will be 999 sets offered. How many of you collect Etopps cards? I myself have dabbled in them off and on since my first Etopps Purchase of a 2001 Mike Modano card. Since then I have purchased cards on IPO and on Ebay. I have also acquired cards through trading on the Etopps Trading Floor.

With the pending sell of Topps to a group led by Michael Eisner, what will be the future of the Etopps product line? Since the inception of Etopps in 2001 the cards have attracted a zealous core group of collectors. However, the cards have not garnered wide spread acceptance.
